Sydney went full debacle over the weekend against weekend with some of the worst stats you'll find from any team in any game:
- Down by 39pts mid 2nd quarter
- Lost enter bounce clearance 10 - 5 but was 10-2 at 1 stage although Essendon have been excellent in that area in 2025
- Gave away 7 x 50m penalties to Essendon's zero for 3 goals
- Won inside 50's 61 - 45 but could only convert 13% of our chances - the lowest over the round this weekend
- Expected score was 76v55 for a Swans win against an actual score of 71v63
...and lost by only 8pts!
Anyway finals is most likely out of the question now as we just won't get anything resembling our strongest team back quick enough to stay in the mix.
