A few months back I posted about affordances, what they are, what you want to create them at training through your activity design, how to train them and a Scott Pendlebury video of what it looks like in the pro's.
Affordances are "invitations of action", usually only available very temporarily and what affordances you do see is mostly based on your playing experience with the affordances you do take based on your phyiscal and psychological profile.
Let's set the scene for the video of yours truly to follow.
- We were playing the winless bottom team on their home deck with a few of our top players injured.
- They came to play like no other game this year this particular week, with a sniff of a win.
- We probably thought this was going to be easier then what it was even with those players out.
- This video is of the last minute of play with the scores tied even though we'd had 22 scoring shots to 13.
The pressure is definitely high at this point to say the least.
