I've analysed Collingwood kick outs before but this is the best vision of it in full that I've seen this year.
Regardless of who kicks out, and it mostly rotates through Darcy Moore, Nick Daicos and John Noble, the main strategies used are:
- To load up on 1 side
- Wait for the numbers to get there before initiating the kick out
- Play on to get extra territory
- Get (mostly) midfield numbers to the front of the contest but positioned to take the ball corridor side, straight towards goal
It's nothing any team in Australia couldn't replicate but there's also some extra spacing formation strategies they use to then move the ball forward at pace.
