AFLW ROUND 3 GAME ANALYSIS - GEELONG v NORTH MELBOURNE

2 of the best teams went at it on the weekend in Geelong and North Melbourne and after the first half, it looked like the Roos were in all sorts before a remarkable 3rd quarter got them the lead and they held on.

Both teams get everything started from their respective midfield's but the Ruck advantage North have, with Rennie and King, put them over the top at stoppages where they were +11 in hot outs and +17 at clearances.

In this 10min video I take a look at:

  • Both teams supporting players using their respective tall/marking forwards as reference points of starting and finishing positions
  • North Melbourne running and handballing through the middle of the ground rather then kick to free Geelong defenders
  • North Melbourne's forward 50 throe in set play
  • North Melbourne's kick in defensive formation

The reference point clip is an ultra-important one for local/community football.
