We've been keeping an eye on Collingwood's center bounce clearances the past couple of weeks, in particularly how they attempt to drag the opposition's sweeper out of position and create a huge exit point, directly forward out of the contest.
I tracked all 23 center bounces clearances and found Collingwood held their sweeper in 13 of them, had no sweeper at all for 4 of them and only aggressively tried to drag the opposition sweeper in only 6 times - a real true sign of respect to the Fremantle midfield at center bounces.
The Pies were always going to have it over the Dockers on field position in general play because of Freo's dreadful ball movement so cutting them off at center bounces would go a long way to getting the win.
Throughout this video we track what Collingwood were going with throughout the game with a couple of general play clips thrown in for good measure.
