The best way to get around a lack of fitness is to implement a Game Model to build an alignment on everything that goes on during a game.
For example when the ball is coming into the forward line from a slow build up, what you'll find is 9 times out of 10 is that all 6 forwards are looking to be the next option, all at the same time.
The implications of this are:
- It's easy to defend as most of those forwards will present to the same spot on the ground or in very close proximity to it, where a basic defensive cluster will cut out most of these available options off with minimal movement
- When all forwards peresent at the same time, even in different spots, if none of them can be used then everyone is now out of position and where's the second option coming from?
Be predictable to your teammates but unpredictable to the opposition!
